Here’s another watercolor in my breastfeeding animals series. This time I took a little detour into Roman mythology for Romulus, Remus, and the wolf.

Really cool watercolor! I got to see this statue while living in Italy in 2002. Love your representation and color values.
Thank you! I was drawn to a photo but would love to see the original.
That is kind of a weird story. Then again, all those myths are a touch freaky.
That is the best thing about them 🙂
Beautiful! Andy son is studying mythology now, kind of coincidental
Love when the universe overlaps like that 🙂
Beautiful work!
Thank you, and thanks for stopping by. Come back soon!
Wow, what an amazing picture!
Thank you!
You are such a talented artist! I love that there are two little ones, too. I know how that wolf felt somedays!
Thank you! I feel like I understand the wolf, too.
I love the idea that we are so connected to animals. Nurturing between species seems a natural thing to do.
I don’t know about between species, but I love images of animals nursing because it emphasizes our connection with them. Thanks for commenting.
I like this very much – the heavy shadowing behind the characters especially and the hint of gold and blue sneaking in at opposite corners – beautiful

Thank you! I love the art on your site, too (especially the carousel mural).
🙂
Thank you much, I really appreciate that coming from a fellow artist 🙂
