Thank You for Reading! (Have an Award)

This post is a thank you for three different blog awards. The first two are on the same theme…an extremely important theme, I think, which is Thank You, Readers!

So this isn’t really about me, it’s about you! Thank you, thank you for reading and following. And especially, thank you to those of you who comment! You make this whole venture worthwhile. When I started blogging, I assumed no one would read any of this, but it turns out there are a lot of us out here on the Internet!

So without further ado, the first award is…

I was lucky enough to be nominated for this award by Lydia Devadason at “An Idiot’s Guide to Parenting.” Her blog is great, I’m telling you! Deadpan and very funny–check it out! In accepting this award, I am required to do the following:

  1. Display the award.
  2. Thank the person who nominated me.
  3. Nominate 14 blogs who are readers of my blog.
  4. Let the nominees know.

I am also thrilled to have received the Blog Love Award from Shannon at Game of Diapers. I’ve told you before about her fabulous blog. This award, which she created, is also meant to thank loyal readers.

So, following are my nominees, all wonderful people who make me happy by actually occasionally reading what I write on here and responding! Yay! You get both these awards, or you can choose one if you prefer.

The next award is also from the talented (and generous) Lydia Devadason. I told you once and I’ll tell you again–check out her blog! She has young kids who climb on top of her car and sit there. So this blog award is The Sisterhood of the World Award! Wowza.

  1. Thank you once again for nominating me for this/these wonderful award(s). It truly means a lot and congratulations for your nominations. You totally deserve it for being so talented and so supportive!

    • Hi! Thank you so much for the award nomination! What a lovely award to share, and thank you so much for thinking of me. It really means a lot 🙂 Congratulations to you on all your award nominations! You have a really wonderful blog that so many of us enjoy.

      • Thank you so much! I really enjoy your blog, too. You inspire me to try to do something like start an Etsy shop–I love the steady progress you make on your goal. And your drawings are so cheerful and springy, it’s fun when they pop up in my feed 🙂

  2. Congrats Sparrow and thanks for the description of my blog – that’s so kind. And now – yay, lots more blogs for me to have a sneaky look at 😉

  3. Oh, can you please delete that comment? I tried to comment through my old iphone which never goes well. Thank you for the award Sparrow. I’m thrilled and I look forward to checking out the blogs you have mentioned and accepting the awards. I’ll be nominating my old favourites and some new hilarious blogs which I began following recently. :oD

  4. Congrats Sparrow! I just love a person who receives a very well-deserved award and then graciously “shares the love.” So many more wonderful blogs for me to read. Thank you for sharing and congratulations!

    • Do you really think it’s good? I’m of mixed minds and wonder if people get annoyed reading these blog award posts–or at least, whatever percentage of people read this blog who don’t also have blogs. On the other hand, I do like finding out about new blogs from them. And I’m so flattered when people nominate me.

      • “Annoyed” didn’t even remotely enter my mind 🙂
I do really like finding new people to read–especially those that provide such a different perspective on similar values and beliefs. I only wish I had more time to read. I worry that if I’m absent for awhile from reading a new blogger friend’s posts that they’ll think they lost me.
I also think it’s a great way to explain this space to the non-blogging world…I have those same challenges 😉
Keep it up! I’m a fan!

  5. Thank you so much for the awards! As a new blogger, the thrill is definitely there when I receive likes, comments, and awards. Congrats to you for receiving all the awards you do. One thing I really like about these awards is finding new blogs to check out and follow of all the nominators and nominees involved. So much fun!
