Here’s another in my nursing animals series. There will probably be more. There’s something compelling, to me, about images of animals nursing. Something about the everydayness, the boringness but also the unknowable. I’m still spending a lot of time nursing twins, watching as they grow bigger and bigger.
Beautifully odd, oddly beautiful.
Cool. Thank you π
I love this!
Thank you!
I love this. I have just started the second period of my life revolving around breastfeeding, and it’s a joy–slow down and just be in this moment joy. Good to see it reflected elsewhere, in the rare moment I am looking elsewhere. π
Thanks Deborah! (As a random side note, I love the image I’ve seen a couple times on your blog, of your face on the curled up gorilla π ) I love gorillas. Pretty much all animals, actually. Funny when they help us understand how we’re feeling.
Another beautiful painting. It does create some sort of connection with the gorilla and nature doesn’t it? There she is being a mummy, doing what mummies do.
Right? I feel a connection with this gorilla π
I love it – you are so talented :))
Thank you!
One of my favourite pictures is a gorilla mom nursing twins (if you haven’t seen it, it a wordless Wednesday on my site). Lovely work!
Oh I haven’t seen that. Will have to check it out!
You really capture the animal’s character, his almost human aspect. Lovely!
Thank you!
